Prior to joining Ridgewood Capital in the Fall of 2007, David Cheng was a senior associate with IDG Ventures in Vietnam. Before that, David was an investment banking analyst at Banc of America Securities in the technology equity capital markets group in San Francisco, CA. While at Banc of America Securities, David transacted on multiple IPO, secondary, and convertible offerings. Early in his career, David was an analyst for Sempra Energy Solutions in the natural gas portfolio management group in San Diego, CA.

David received his BS in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley.
